The text below is an expose on certain crucial phenomena of cotemporary new media art; particularly dealing with the "Do It Yourself" attitude toward digital technologies. It is a critical commentary and extension of a documentary project 8 BIT, which premiered at the Museum of Modern Art in October 2006.
